Should we call this past week ‘Beatdown’ since 4 of the 6 games ended fairly one-sided? Maybe not, but there was some pummeling none-the-less. Sweet Chin Music rolls out 5 pitchers on one day and spins too many K’s on Donnie Barqs to win 8-2 and take the top spot in the Power Rankings. Feeling none of the post-Pujols-injury letdown, Bust-Her Posey takes a chink out of Team Kelly’s armor, 8-2.
Vidlund and Sharp win big as well, although not easily, as the matchups were close until Sunday.
An interesting stat; there are 4 teams with over 57 transactions, which is almost 20 more than the 5th most. Of those 4 teams, 3 of them are ranked #1, #2, and #3 in the Power Rankings. Perhaps the rest of the league should start making some moves?
