Only one week left in the regular season, and the teams that are in position to make the playoffs all made strong showings this week. Gonna go out on a limb here and say that with a 9.5 game lead in the Harwell division, Team Vidlund will win the division and possibly the #1 seed and a bye. Not so clear is the 4 game lead that Sweet Chin Music has over the Johan; this division and #2 with a bye will be settled this week!
Playoff scenarios: Right now, 4 teams are clinched: Vidlund, SCM, Johan, and Barqs. The other two spots are still up for grabs. G Moneyball holds a good chance with a 5.5 game lead in the division. However, Team Kelly can steal this spot with a big win this week and huge loss by GMNY. Currently, Team Kelly only trails My Balls Ichiro by 3 games for the #6 spot, and technically Bust-her Posey is still alive, 9 games back of MBI. Everyone else, you are studying your football cheat sheets right now.
This means that we will have a new champion this year, as the defending champ is out. Bottom line: watch out for big scoring swings this week as the playoff landscape could change dramatically!
