Week 1 WMD
The defending champ had to be feeling pretty good about things; getting 123 pts in the new scoring format, #18 back on the team and looking dominant, etc. However, a certain ATL QB was having none of that, as the AZ Gamblers score 143 pts and make a statement with the Week 1 win over the Heroes. The Gamblers also captured career Bullet Train #9, second most all-time. Other notes:
- New name, new game? The sharply-dressed Senator backs up his draft day trash talk with an impressive victory over a suddenly quiet Team RAT BASTARDS. Perhaps that TV show is taking away from TRB football time.
- New name, same game: The mysteriously named H.Y.C. showed up to the draft in suits. Translation: They mean business. Two straight runner up finishes do not sit well. Title-or-bust. Opening week victory.
- New name, deliver the pain: 3 wins for freshly renamed teams as Cam You Dig It? exacts a little revenge for last years 2 costly losses to Mikes Bastards.
- Same name, same shame: The Monsoon start off 2012 with a win, taking the Kid’s out to the shed, casting out the first Crappie of the year.
Key Matchups: Week 2
AZ Gamblers v. The Senator: Who stays undefeated?
Hilty’s Heroes v. Team RAT BASTARDS: Last 2 champs fight to avoid 0-2 start.
