LFFL–Week 10 Recap: Low scoring week, but no problem for the top 4 seeds

Extra Large

We hit the home stretch on the regular season (already?) as the final 3 games (divisional) start this week.  A very low scoring week as only 4 teams cracked the century mark and 3 teams were in the 70’s.  Seems as though Hilty Two Times has his own bar car on the Bullet Train, as they capture their 2nd straight skin, and 3rd overall for the year with a convincing 48.6 pt victory over the AZ Gamblers.  Too early for playoff scenarios…?  Yes, actually.  Other notes:

  • Better Bastard:  In the annual battle of the Bastards, this one goes to the one with that guy they call Megatron.  Drew Brees continues to put up stats, but the RAT gets 18 pts out of the Ravens D (who knew?) and snatches the division lead…for now.
  • Last Ride:  As well as H2Times is playing, they can’t tame the Beast, at least not yet.  Cruising along at 8-2, FROTB shakily holds on over H.Y.C. this week, and holds a commanding 2 game division lead with 3 to play.  FROTB can clinch the division this week with a win over H2Times.
  • Crappie come home: There was very ‘stiff’ competition for the Crappie this week.  H.Y.C. gave it a sniff, Gid’s Kids gave it their all with Big Ben at the helm, but holding on for the 0.1 pt margin is newly crowned . . , whose snappy new logo is sure to delight no one.

Key Matchups: Week 11
Hilty Two Times v. Free Rides on the Beast: Division clincher for FROTB?
Gid’s Kids. v. Team RAT BASTARDS: Battle for 1st place.
