LFB–Week 5 Recap: PUIG finally gets the wakeup call

Week 5 is in the books, and it was definitely a good one for When Puig’s Fly.  A certain Dodger outfielder bats 0.444 for the week with 7 RBI’s and propels WPF to the 7-3-0 rout of Team CCI.  Oscar Gamble must be smiling somewhere.  Other highlights:

  • Sharpening up: Getting out of the division has been good to Diamond Sharp; they cruise this week 7-2-1 over HOLY COW.  Desmond Jennings with a huge week; now only 16 games back.  Shock the world?
  • #2:  This weeks battle between the top 2 teams in the standings goes to #2, now new #1, Donnie Barqs.   Looks like spending a weekend on Route 66 did the team ownership some good!
  • Re-take the lead: An 8-2-0 thumping of newly christened Bogaert Pinedas TAR puts Re-Encarnacion on top of the Harwell division.  Anthony Rizzo with the 3 HR’s?  Must be some mistake.
