LFFL–Week 3 Recap: How low can you go? Try all-time record low

Holy Low Scores, Batman!  It was not a good week for output, as only 1 team scored over 120 pts, and 5 teams scored under 100.  Ouch!  Leading the power failure was this week’s Crappie winner, Klaver Football Club.  How bad was it? KFC’s total of 42.4 pts is an all-time LFFL record (8 years).  Call it a perfect storm of nothingness.  The RAT BASTARDS will take it, getting their first win of the year.  Other notes:

  • MNF thriller:  Every year, almost weekly now one of our games comes down to MNF, and this week was no different.  The Monsoon collect 2 TD’s from M. Bennett and get the come from behind victory by 0.7 pts over T.Y. Hiltunen.  Both teams at 1-2.
  • Night Train:  Another week, another win for the BULLDOGS.  It’s been a while since they lost, 5 straight wins dating back to last year.  And…another Bullet Train, 2 out of the first 3, and sitting nicely at 3-0.
  • The Devil Inside:  Low and behold, all those Redskins didn’t pay off, but Matt Ryan and Knile Davis did as the Dust Devils move to 2-1 with a thrashing of the MaD Bastards Bastards.  Perhaps the Toby Gerhart experiment is over?
