LFFL – Week 7 Recap: Big week for The Best There Never Was [whatever that means]

Last week’s Bullet Train winner ran into a freight train this week, so it is no longer a MaD Bastards Bastards world.  Andrew Luck kept feeding T.Y. Hilton on Sunday, and even only getting 0.9 pts from their TE, and only 12.9 pts from AP, The Best There Never Was nevertheless steamrolls and wins by almost 50 pts, collecting their first Bullet Train of the year, improving to 3-4 and currently holding [clinging] to the 6th playoff spot.  Other notes:

  • Tannehill the Terrific:  Congrats to owner Chris Klaver on the birth of his first child this week, a girl!  This did not help the KFC score, however; Dust Devils roll by 40.  Key Observation: Tannehill vs NE or Manning vs GB for DD in week 8?
  • Gushing for Gurley:  Can anyone stop Todd Gurley?  Big trade for Carson and the BULLDOGS are making a mad dash to get back into the race.  Key Observation:  Forte gone, AJ Green in for the Rat Bastards.
  • Battering Ram: After a weak start by Kaepernick on Thurs, the Rams D goes nuts, gets 30 pts, and helps H.Y.C get through their bye week nightmare.  Key Observation:  The return of Darren McFadden?  How long until that red Q is next to his name.
  • Crappie Report: This week’s Crappie goes to division leader Gid’s Kids; Gary Barnidge can’t save you every week apparently.  Key Observation:  The Monsoon clipping along at 6-1, winners of 4 straight.

Key Matchups: Week 8
Hilty Three Times v. Klaver Football Club: Battle of the new and soon-to-be new dads
The Monsoon v. Dust Devils: Only game this week between 2 teams with winning records
